Location:
Our riverside camp at Nachni (Rigonia village) is an eight hour drive from Kathgodam and an hours drive from Munsiyari. The camp is located on a small private beach and is ideal for an action filled holiday including Kayaking, mountain biking, caving, angling and other adventure activities. The camp is situated at a moderate height of 1350 m (4,000 ft.), which makes it an ideal all-season camp.

Getting there:
By Train: Ranikhet Express: Old Delhi Railway Station (10:40 p.m.) – Kathgodam / Ramnagar (6:00 a.m.) Return is likewise in an overnight train reaching Delhi at 4.30 am.
NDLS – Kgm Shatabdi: NDLS railway station (6:00 a.m.) – Kathgodam (11:40 a.m). Return departure at 3:35 p.m. from Kathgodam –New delhi station at 9:00 p.m. From Kathgodam / Ramnagar, Jeeps can be hired to go to the Nachni (Rigonia village) Ramganga valley Camp which is an 8 hour drive. (210 kms) from the railhead.
By Road: Ramganaga camp is 211 km from Kathgodam (485 km from Delhi – 16 hrs). From Kathgodam, go towards Almora and onto Thal via Seraghat. The Rigonia village is an easy 5 min walk from the road.
By Volvo(Uttarkhand Transport) : Anand vihar terminal to Haldwani/Kathgodam and get a taxi for Nachni/Thal
DELHI – GHAZIABAD – HAPUR – GAJRAULA – MORADABAD – BILASPUR – RUDRAPUR (turn left) – HALDWANI – KATHGODAM – BHOWALI – ALMORA(turn right) – SERAGHAT – BERINAG – THAL– RIGONIA VILLAGE.

Board and Lodging:
Full board and lodging are provided at the camp in Alpine trekking tents with sleeping bags and mats. Western toilet/bathing tents with running water. Driftwood and campfire stools blending with the natural environment are interspersed at the campsite. Maintaining the natural jungle environment no electricity is used at the camp. Kerosene/solar lanterns are used to light the camp adequately during the night. Modern and hygienic kitchen facilities are also provided. Apart from sumptuous and wholesome Indian and Continental treats you get a taste of the exotic local cuisine that is becoming so rare in the Kumaon hills.
Safety and equipment:
We have qualified and experienced instructors for all the activities and provide complete and up-dated field
equipment. We adhere to stringent safety standards and do meticulous planning and execution of all programmes.
Weather & clothing:
Ramganga Camp is open throughout the year. In April – June & September – October, the days are comfortably warm and sunny while the nights are cool and fresh. In November – March, the days are crisp, bright and sunny while the nights are chilly.

If you are travelling by train (non AC):
During winters carry a warm blanket/quilt/cover for the train journey. Otherwise just a light cover is enough. An effective mosquito repellent cream is highly recommended for the train journey during this period.
If you are driving down follow the graphic map given to you and remember to fill up your tank at Haldwani or Kathgodam. Unleaded fuel is available at Rampur and Haldwani.
Clothing guidelines:
November – February: Heavy woollens for mornings, evenings and nights. Light woolens for day.
March, Sept, Oct: Light woollens for mornings & evenings. Comfortable sportswear for day.
Summers: T-shirts and other comfortable sportswear.
Note: Suitable clothes for water related activities is recommended including footwear (floaters).
